The Neighbors

The 'hood is the best. Really. I have good friends across the street. He's a lawyer and she works for a great nonprofit. On one side of me is a University of Minnesota law professor and his family. On the other side is a recent William Mitchell law grad and his wife, who works for a local foundation. Just two doors away is an art professor and her partner, and next door to them is a graphic designer. Across from her is a church. There's another great family directly across the street.

So, some pretty cool folks on a very tree-lined block (think tunnel of trees), with a park nearby and bus lines out the back door and across the alley. In addition, lots of restaurants nearby, a coop grocery store (Mississippi Market) five houses away, and neighbors who are very involved in the neighborhood and keep an eye out for each other.
